Role Overview: Safeguard Solutions is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Fence Helper / Laborer to join our team. This role supports the installation and maintenance of high-quality fencing solutions for commercial, and industrial projects. As a Fence Helper / Laborer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and efficient project completion while upholding our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation of fences, gates, and other related structures.

• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.

• Prepare job sites by clearing debris, digging post holes, and setting materials.

• Measure and align fencing materials to ensure proper installation.

• Operate basic hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries.

• Support the crew with any additional tasks as needed to complete projects.

Qualifications: 

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Basic understanding of construction practices is preferred but not required.

• Strong work ethic and the ability to work well as part of a team.

• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.

• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Required Safety Qualifications:

• Ability to pass an extensive background check and obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card) – the company will assist with procurement of the TWIC card.

• Pass a drug screen on the hire date, annual drug screen, and random drug screens as required.

• Procure and submit a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for insurance approval from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
