Role Overview: We are looking for a dynamic Access Control Manager to take charge of building and leading our internal access control division. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the installation of gate operators, turnstiles, and related components, with a strong emphasis on strict adherence to safety standards. This position reports directly to management, offering the opportunity to work independently and shape the future of our access control team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Install gate operators, turnstiles, and all associated components in accordance with safety standards and industry best practices.
Independently lead and manage access control projects, ensuring timely and high-quality installations.
Collaborate with management to develop and implement effective strategies for building the best access control team in the nation.
Stay abreast to industry trends, technological advancements, and safety regulations to continuously improve the division’s capabilities.
Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team during project investigations and client interactions.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members.
Take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues, ensuring optimal performance.
Work alongside clients to develop and implement a customized Preventative Maintenance Plan (PMP) for their equipment.
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite proficiently for documentation, reporting, and project management purposes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in the installation of gate operators, turnstiles, and access control systems.
Strong knowledge of safety standards applicable to access control installations.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
Excellent project management skills, from planning to execution.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Commitment to building and maintain the highest standards of workmanship.
Willingness to stay updated on industry developments and advancements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Obtain or possess CGAT certification through the AFA, or demonstrate a commitment to achieving certification at the earliest available opportunity.
Sales Training: Completion of sales training programs or certifications.
Customer Service Experience: Prior experience in a customer service or client-facing role.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and solve problems proactively.
Adaptability: Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
