We kindly request that crews refrain from applying if they lack ownership of their truck, trailer, tools, a valid driver's license, adequate insurance for commercial and industrial construction work, or if their crew is unstable and unestablished.

Key Responsibilities:

Fence Installation:

  • Perform fence installations, repairs, and alterations in accordance with project specifications.

  • Work with a variety of fencing materials, including chain-link, aluminum, vinyl, wood, metal, high-security fencing, wire mesh partitions, turnstiles, bollards and various other perimeter security measures.

  • Ensure that all installations adhere to industry standards and local building codes.

Site Preparation:

  • Accurately measure and mark boundaries to ensure precise installation.

  • Prepare the site by clearing and excavating post holes and removing obstructions.

Material Handling:

  • Handle and transport fencing materials to the installation site safely.

  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring a secure and efficient work environment.

Quality Assurance:

  • Uphold high craftsmanship standards and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Inspect completed projects to guarantee they meet the highest quality benchmarks.

Safety:

  • Prioritize safety throughout all aspects of the job, adhering to safety guidelines and using appropriate personal protective equipment.

  • Promptly report safety concerns or incidents to the project manager.

Communication:

  • Effectively communicate with project managers to meet project requirements.

  • Provide updates on project progress, material requirements, and any issues that may arise.


Qualifications:

  • Must possess a personal truck, trailer, tools, and equipment suitable for fence installation.

  • Maintain a professional, well-established crew. Preferably, the crew owner serves as the foreman and remains on-site with crew members.

  • Demonstrated experience as a fence installer in commercial and industrial settings.

  • Proficiency in various fencing materials and installation techniques.

  • Ability to interpret project plans and specifications.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Physical endurance and the ability to handle heavy materials and work in diverse weather conditions.

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

  • Adherence to safety protocols and procedures.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Capability to work in varying weather conditions and climates.

  • Proof of relevant insurance and licenses.

Please note: This role is offered on a 1099 subcontractor basis, and you will be responsible for your taxes and insurance.

Additional and enhanced compensation opportunities are available for 1099 Subcontractors who can fulfill the following criteria:

  • Successful completion of a CCS (Coalition for Construction Safety) substance abuse screening.

  • Ability to obtain a Travel Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) security threat assessment.

  • Willingness to travel outside of Indiana, occasionally necessitating extended out-of-town stays.
